About Dr. Amol Dhopte
Dr. Amol Dhopte is a well-renowned Plastic Surgeon. He has an extensive experience in rhinoplasty, hand surgery, replantation surgery, brachial plexus, and peripheral nerve surgery, microvascular surgery and cancer reconstruction, maxillofacial trauma, burns surgery, and gender reassignment surgery. He completed his medical degree from Government Medical College, Nagpur. In addition to earning his M Ch in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi, he also obtained his Master of Surgery in General Surgery from Sawai Man Singh Medical College and Associated Hospitals in Jaipur.
At the Government Medical College and Hospital in Nagpur, Dr. Amol Dhopte previously served as an assistant professor in the department of plastic and reconstructive surgery. In Nagpur, India, he also served as a consultant plastic surgeon for Kingsway Hospital and Sparsh Clinics. At the Royal Darwin Hospital in Darwin, Australia, he also held the position of Senior Registrar in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Presently, Dr. Amol Dhopte is working as a Brisbane Hand and Upper Limb Fellow at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, Australia.
Dr. Dhopte has published numerous research papers on his subject, and his current research projects include The problem of vasospasm in pediatric microvascular reconstruction and the Prospective analysis of the outcomes of secondary reconstruction of brachial plexus injuries.
Dr. Dhopte has a generous heart, which is evident from his philanthropic activities. He and his team have been regularly organizing free medical camps as a sacred mission for the needy section of the society The services include periodic free medical camps, distribution of free medicines, health awareness sessions, and also specialized medical camps at intervals. Dr. Dhopte lives by his words. According to him, a good doctor gives back to society. He wishes to learn new skills throughout his career and on the way contribute towards expanding the field of plastic surgery. He intends to use the skills he acquires for the betterment of his patients and to pass on these skills to the next generation.
