About Dr. Hemlata Wadhwani Bhatia

Hemlata Wadhwani, M.D. is an expert in treating children with genetic problems. She is knowledgeable about the subtleties of medical genetics and fetal medicine. Dr. Wadhwani Bhatia received her medical training from Associated LNJP Hospital and Maulana Azad Medical College. She did her Fellowship in Medical Genetics at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi and received her Diploma in Child Health from VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi. Dr. Bhatia graduated from SGPGI, Lucknow, with a 12th ICMR Certificate Course in Medical Genetics and Genetic Counselling.

At Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital, Muni Maya Ram Jain Hospital, Ananda Medicare, and Santom Hospital, Rohini, Dr. Bhatia previously held the position of Consultant Paediatrician. She was hired by Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi as a Fellow Medical Geneticist. She is currently employed as the director of medical genetics and founder of the Apex Super Specialty Clinic in Rohini, New Delhi, as a consultant in medical genetics at the MAX Super Specialty Hospital in Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi, as a consultant in medical genetics at the Jaipur Golden Hospital in Rohini, New Delhi, and as a consultant in medical genetics at the Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute and Action Cancer Hospital in Paschim Vihar, New Delhi.

Dr. Wadhwani is a member of the Delhi Medical Council and the Indian Academy of Paediatrics, and she has received the International Travel Merit Fellowship Award from the Care for Rare Foundation, Europe, for her outstanding work in the field of genetics (awarded in Germany) in 2001. She has consistently organised CMEs, webinars, and conferences for general practitioners, obstetricians, gynecologists, and pediatricians to educate them as well as to emphasize the importance of early screening and early diagnosis. These activities include raising awareness of rare genetic disorders like “RACEFOR7” organized by ORDI (Organism for Rare Disorders in India).

Dr . Wadhwani offers free camps to needy patients with genetic abnormalities and never passes up the chance to help those in need in society since, in her opinion, one should never forget to be kind to others and share with those in need.
