About Dr. Mehandi Hassan Ansari

Dr. Mehandi Hassan Ansari is a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon. His surgical practice focuses on Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS) as well as the traditional or “Open” Spine Surgical solutions for degenerative spinal disorders, spinal tumors, Cranio-cervical junction abnormalities, trauma as well as spinal deformities including Scoliosis, Kyphosis, and Spondylolisthesis. He also specializes in the management of failed back and revision spine surgeries.

Dr. Ansari is a medical graduate from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, India, and was selected for an Orthopaedic Residency from Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, India. After completion of his Orthopaedic Residency, he trained for Spinal Deformity and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgeries (MISS) with national and international fellowships from the following institutes Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai, Singapore General Hospital, Singapore, UC Davis Hospital, Sacramento, CA, St. Anthony Medical Centre, St. Louis, Alfred Dupont Children Hospital, Wilmington.

Prior to NMC Specialty Hospital, Dubai he was a Consultant Spine Surgeon – at CARE Hospital, Nagpur, a Consultant Spine Surgeon – at Shalby Hospital, Ahmedabad, and a Consultant Spine Surgeon – at MIOT International Hospital
Dr. Ansari is presently working as a Specialist Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon at N.M.C. Specialty Hospital, Dubai. Dr. Ansari has been extensively trained in the latest technologies. He is involved in clinical research activities and concentrates on clinical outcomes of spine surgery in the fields of spine trauma, degenerative spine, spine oncology, and revision spine surgeries, for which he has presented and published research papers. He is a member of various organizations including Spine associates, North American Spine Society, and Ortho spine NET.
