About Dr. Umesh Varyani
Dr. Umesh is a dedicated and accomplished transplant nephrologist with substantial clinical expertise in kidney transplants from both living and deceased donors who is accredited by the American Society of Transplantation. He is quite updated with the nuances and advances of diagnostic modalities used in treating patients with peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, chronic kidney disease, and end-stage renal disease and is skilled in interventional procedures such as permanent dialysis catheter placement and kidney biopsy.
Dr. Umesh Varyani earned his medical degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Wardha, India, and completed his M.D. in Medicine from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur. Dr. Varyani completed his D.M. in Nephrology from the Institute of Kidney Disease and Research Centre, Ahmedabad, and earned his Transplant Nephrology Fellowship from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. He is conferred with many award-winning presentations at national conferences and his articles have been published in national journals of repute.
Dr. Varyani previously held the position of a Consultant Nephrologist at Health World Hospital in Durgapur. He also held a position at the University of British Columbia Vancouver (UBC), Canada, as a Fellow in Transplant Nephrology. Dr. Varyani is currently employed by Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital as a Consultant Nephrologist.
