About Dr. Virender Sheorain
Dr. Virender Sheorain is an exceptionally skilled and qualified Minimally Invasive Vascular and Endovascular Interventional Specialist (One who treats patients having Vascular Problems without Open Surgery). His skills and accomplishments have added value to vascular care in India. He is committed and compassionate towards his patients and profession.
He received his education in this uncommon super specialty at prominent medical universities in the USA and India. He earned his medical degree from NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur, and completed his national fellowship in Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He was chosen at a very young age to receive training at the one and only Bethesda Campus of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) which happens to be the top medical research facility on earth and has produced the most significant medical advancements to improve human survival. He completed ACGME Accredited international fellowships in Neuro, Paediatric, and Vascular and Interventional Radiology from prestigious universities in the United States of America and also earned a university diploma in Advanced Aortic Endografting from University de Lille, France.
Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi and the Division of Peripheral Vascular and Endovascular Sciences at Medanta – The Medical City Hospital both employed Dr. Sheorain as a consultant. At Medanta – The Medical City Hospital, he served as a senior consultant in the division of peripheral vascular and endovascular sciences. He is currently employed by Medanta – The Medical City Hospital as an Associate Director in the Division of Peripheral Vascular and Endovascular Sciences. During his professional experience in the United States, he performed several difficult endovascular procedures and has now brought all his expertise back to his homeland, India. He has an experience of 15 years in the field of Endovascular and Interventional Radiology and has performed almost close to 15,000 Endovascular procedures.
In the Indian sub-continent, he is among the highest authorities for the non-surgical (endovascular) treatment of various diseases related to blood vessels. He is an international figure and a key opinion leader in the country in the field of Vascular and Interventional Radiology with numerous International and National paper publications, paper presentations, and proctors workshops to train national and international physicians. He is the Course Director of the Vascular Access Society of India and Lets-CiDAAP Asia Pacific.
