Type 1 diabetes is a condition of the body in which the pancreas makes little or no insulin.

Our body needs sugar to perform various functions of the body and these sugars get into cells with the help of a hormone known as insulin which is produced by the pancreas, and when there is not enough insulin production in the body to utilise sugars, then there is a buildup of sugars in the blood leading to diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is most commonly seen in children and teenagers and is also known as “Juvenile Diabetes.”
